Johanna “Wonder” Wonyou is one of women’s boxing’s most exciting rising stars — a Cameroonian-born, France-raised fighter who relocated to London in pursuit of bigger opportunities and has since built one of the most decorated records in her division. Born in Cameroon and raised in France, Wonyou discovered boxing at just 14 years old when a routine that had grown repetitive gave her nowhere to grow. In a short span of time she climbed the ranks in France before making the bold decision to move to England, where she found a home at Churchill’s Boxing Gym in London under trainer Samm Mullins. She has trained alongside two-time world champion Hannah Rankin, absorbing the experience and guidance of an elite championship-level fighter from day one of her professional journey.

Wonyou turned professional and wasted no time collecting hardware. By the time she was 24 years old, she had already claimed the French Flyweight title, the Commonwealth Bantamweight title — which she captured in March 2023 by stopping Egine Kayange in four rounds at the Maidstone Leisure Centre — and the EBU European Bantamweight title, making her a three-belt regional champion before ever getting a world title shot. She has described her long-term mission with characteristic boldness: “I want to fight anyone with a belt — I consider they are all mine.” Her stated goal has been to unify the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF bantamweight world titles and be recognized as the Greatest Women of All Time — or as she puts it, the “little GWOAT.” She has developed her own performance system called the W-Process, a mental and physical preparation routine she uses ahead of every bout.

Now 12-0 (2 KOs) and signed with Salita Promotions as her new promotional home heading into 2026, Wonyou is firmly positioned as a world title contender. Her April 11, 2026 bout against Argentina’s Antonella Shirley Molina at Portsmouth Guildhall — which was to be her Salita debut — was cancelled when the event was called off, leaving her still hungry for her next opportunity. She has been featured on the Inside The Minds podcast discussing the psychology of a champion, and continues to build her brand internationally across France, the UK, and the United States. With her unbeaten record, three regional titles, a new promotional platform, and an appetite that has never wavered, “Wonder” Wonyou is one fight away from announcing herself on the world stage in a major way.
